The new ad hoc working Group on EUMSS kicks-off

The first ad-hoc working group meeting on the drafting of the candidate cybersecurity certification scheme on Managed Security Services (EUMSS) took place on 13 October 2025.

kick-off

The online meeting was convened after ENISA and the European Commission finalised the list of experts who will play a crucial role in shaping the draft candidate cybersecurity scheme.

The AHWG counts experts from the industry, standardisation organisations, conformity assessment bodies (CABs) and users of MSS. It is supported by observers sent by Member States (MS).

The drafting of the scheme on EUMSS comes after the latest Cybersecurity Act amendment published at the beginning of this year and the official request sent by the European Commission mandating ENISA to start the work.

The kick-off meeting started with a presentation of the ENISA and Commission team and a tour de table, where everyone was able to introduce themselves. The ENISA team presented the general scope and approach, along with the tooling to be used to support the drafting process.
